A true Foucault pendulum is a relatively simple instrument for demonstrating the rotation of the earth. This is very difficult to perceive with our ordinary senses. The False Foucault Pendulum is also a simple device. However unlike it's true counterpart, it can only prove the that the sun is shining. More than likely, this is already obvious.

How it works:
A magnetic pendulum hangs over a solar-powered induction coil. With sufficient sunlight, the coil energizes and gives electromagnetic kick. The pendulum swings steadily and subtly from its long string fixed to the ceiling.
